Widow Jane comes out of Red Hook, Brooklyn. We've always liked Rye and since we're New Yorkers, it's right up our avenue. This is one of the few Aged Rye Whiskeys on the market that can be found at this price point. By aging the whiskey in casks with toasted Oak, they get a very unique flavor which stands out in the finished product. Consider this as an alternative to Bourbon or Scotch as a summery libation.
Widow Jane American Oak Aged Rye is a triple distilled and aged for 2 years in oak barrels. It is a great whiskey to sip when you are looking for something with a little more flavor than most ryes.
