Jack Daniel's Rested Rye Whiskey is a limited-edition whiskey that's been aging in the barrelhouses for over 2 years. This has nearly twice as much time to develop flavors and aroma than Jack Daniel's Unaged Rye Whiskey, which was released in 2012.
In 2013, the Jack Daniel’s distillery released the first new rye whiskey under their label since Prohibition, Jack Daniel's Rested Rye Whiskey. This was followed by an Unaged Tennessee Rye release at the end of 2013 and then a limited quantity of Rested Rye in 2014. This rye whiskey has been maturing in Jack Daniel’s barrelhouses for over 2 years and is incredibly smooth. Bottled at 80 proof, this bottle is technically not part of a series but rather a sample in the aging process. Other than this Rested Tennessee Rye Whisky there is also an Unaged Tennessee Rye which was released in 2012.
