Every year’s release of Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon is distinctly unique and is pulled from the most remarkable barrels in our rickhouse. This uncut, unfiltered bourbon has the richness and bold toffee flavors that only age can provide.
Angel's Envy Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels is a limited-edition whiskey born out of our curiosity and our undying appreciation for experimentation.
Our philosophy at the Angel's Envy distillery is to age our bourbon in wooden casks almost exclusively. For this product, we had finished aging our signature bourbon and we wanted to try something different. Instead of throwing away the barrels – typically, after six months in port wine casks – we bottled up this rich and velvety smooth whiskey at cask strength.
TASTING NOTES
A remarkably complex spirit, we suggest you enjoy it neat or with just a splash of water to release its unique flavor nuances.
NOSE
Apricot, plum, baking spices, brown sugar, leather, oak and vanilla. Bing Cherries play heavily and carry through to the taste
PALATE
Ripe cherry, salted chocolate, orange peel and faint cedar
FINISH
Tannic finish complemented by citrus fruit. Neither too bitter nor too dry. Lingers pleasantly on the back of your tongue
