Frey Ranch is Nevada's only estate distillery and farm. Located in Fallon, NV just outside of the Reno/Tahoe area, Frey Ranch has been family owned and operated since 1997. The Frey family grows winter rye on the property and sources other grains from local farmers to produce high quality spirits including vodka, gin, bourbon, brandy and now Bottled-in-Bond Rye Whiskey.
The term "Bottled-in-Bond" carries with it a legacy of quality that dates back to 1897 when Congress passed the Bottled-in-Bond Act as a way to guarantee customers they were getting authentic whiskey straight from the barrel and unmixed with any other whiskeys or spirits. To qualify as a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey it must be made in one distillation season by one distiller at one distillery, stored in bonded warehouses for at least four years under U.S. Government supervision and bottled at 100 proof.
