Parker’s Heritage Wheat Whiskey is matured for 11 years in barrels charred to varying degrees by hand. Aged on the 2nd floor of the warehouse, the barrels are partially exposed to the open air to allow them to dry out faster, making them more efficient at absorbing liquid. This technique also allows for increased char penetration, resulting in a lighter color and fresher flavor. Although not quite as intense as Parker’s Heavy Char Rye or Bourbon releases, this wheat whiskey will give you an idea of what to expect from future releases.
