Eddie’s father, famed Master Distiller Jimmy Russell’s love of mid-aged bourbons is no secret. To reflect his father’s tastes, Eddie hand-selected barrels aged between 9 and 10 years old; resulting in a spirited and sophisticated mix of his father’s bold flavor with subtleties of complexity derived from longer aging.

Jimmy Russell is quite the whisky man. He began working at Wild Turkey in 1954 and to this day is still the Master Distiller. But don’t worry, dad isn’t the type of man to take anything away from his son, Eddie Russell. In fact he taught the stubborn young buck everything he knows, including the taste of mid-aged bourbons. So how did it come together? Eddie hand selected barrels aged between 9 and 10 years old for his father to taste, and liked what he tasted, selecting 500 barrels for his first run of Wild Turkey Master’s Keep One Bourbon.
