Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond honors a watershed moment in bourbon history – the U.S. Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Each year, the distillers at Brown-Forman stock a small amount of the highest quality whiskey they produce in their warehouses. This expression follows the Bottled in Bond standards that whisky must be aged in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years, the product of one distillation season and one distillery, bottled at 100 Proof. The concept behind these regulations – the idea of ‘sealed in quality’ – was something Old Forester introduced in 1870 as America’s First Bottled Bourbon.

The spirit is crafted according to the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which requires each bottle to be made from a single distilling season and from a single distillery's product. With notes of caramel and vanilla, this 100 proof whiskey is ideal for enjoying neat or on ice.
