DR BILLS FOREST OLD FASHIONED

The classic cocktail - inspired by the adventures of our Master Distiller - rambles deep into a forest of botanical flavours, where aromas of juniper drift to an oaky finish.

Ingredients:
50ml Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest
20g dried juniper berries
200g water
200g caster sugar
2 dash aromatic bitter
1 block ice

Method:
To make 10ml juniper syrup, mix 20g dried juniper berries with 200g water and 200g caster sugar in a pan and bring to a boil.
Turn off the heat at a simmer and leave it to rest for about 1 hour.
Once cooled, fine strain through a 200 micron and press hard on the juniper berries. Store the liquid in an airtight container and refrigerate.
To make your cocktail, add a block of ice to your whisky glass.
In a mixing glass, add the Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest, juniper syrup, and aromatic bitter. Stir together and strain into the glass with the ice.
Garnish with juniper berries.
