We like to think of our Broken Barrel Heresy Rye Whiskey as "The Other." It's not your grandfather’s rye whiskey. Sure, it’s distilled in Kentucky like all our bourbon and aged a minimum of 2 years. But the barrels we use are unconventional by nature. Each one has once housed wine, sherry or even other spirits. And then there is the taste. The French oak gives this rye a woody body, while the ex-bourbon and ex-sherry cask staves come together to create an uncommon and untraditional taste that leads you on a rollercoaster ride of flavor.

Broken Barrel Heresy Rye Whiskey is a unique, balanced rye whiskey. Its smooth taste and finish come from both charred French oak and high-rye content - giving it a fiery character that is uniquely its own. We distill this unique whiskey in Owensboro Kentucky, just like our bourbon.

• 40% French Oak Staves

• 40% Ex-Bourbon Cask Staves

• 20% Sherry Cask Staves
