Plantation Xaymaca Special Dry is entirely hand crafted in Jamaica in 18th century copper pot stills. Our barrel aging process mirrors that of Cognac or some Single Malts, giving this rum its distinctive character. The resulting liquid has strong aromas and flavors of black banana and flambéed pineapple because the distillation is done in an open-air copper column still, which allows us to capture complex aromas that cannot be obtained by modern continuous column-style distillation processes

With Xaymaca Special Dry, Plantation brings back the quintessential Jamaican-style rums of the 19th century with an expression of intense flavors that reveal the traditional, legendary « Rum Funk » : aromas and flavors of black banana and flambéed pineapple, locally called "Hogo," an Anglicization of the French term "Haut Goût" (high taste).

Plantation Xaymaca Special Dry is a true rum lover’s treat. It evokes the name given to the island by its first inhabitants, the Arawaks, and is made from pure Jamaican spirits distilled in copper pot stills. Then it’s aged in French Oak barrels for up to 4 years. This concoction is divine - smooth, rich and complex with just enough bite to set it apart from anything else you’ve ever had.
